The mission of The Upper Room is to cultivate a Christ-centered, multigenerational community wholly devoted to prayer, devotion, and the study of God’s Word, so that Christ may be fully formed in us (Galatians4:19). We exist to be a place where believers of all ages—men, women, and students—gather to seek God’s presence, grow in spiritual maturity, and live as witnesses of His transforming power in the world.
Rooted in the example of the early church, we embrace the pattern found in Acts2:42: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” This foundational model compels us to equip every generation to live out their faith daily in their homes, schools, workplaces, and communities, creating a ripple effect of spiritual impact that extends far beyond our gatherings.
We believe prayer is the heartbeat of transformation, devotion is the discipline that sustains growth, and Bible study is the foundation that equips us to discern and live out God’s truth. In cultivating these practices, The Upper Room provides both accountability and encouragement, ensuring that no believer walks the journey of faith alone. Through these spiritual rhythms, we aim to see lives renewed, families strengthened, and communities touched by the love of Christ.
Discipleship & Unity
Our mission also calls us to pursue intentional discipleship, raising up leaders and mentors who will guide the next generation. By fostering authentic fellowship, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where burdens are shared, testimonies are celebrated, and unity in Christ is built. Through Spirit-filled living, we seek to model the fruit of the Spirit in every area of life, serving as ambassadors of God’s kingdom in a broken world.
Ultimately, we are committed to building up the body of Christ in accordance with Ephesians4:13: “Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” This is the vision that drives us—to see every believer grow into the likeness of Christ, to walk in His authority and love, and to impact the world with the gospel.
At The Upper Room, our mission is not just what we do; it is who we are. Together, across generations, we are devoted to becoming a community where Christ is formed in us and glorified through us.
